PSLC Badminton Club was established over 30 years ago and provides the local community with competitive and social badminton for players of all ages and abilities. We run both senior and junior clubs and welcome new members at any time of the year.
We won Badminton Ireland Club of the Year in 2013 and were shortlisted again in 2018. We were also awarded the Bronze Clubmark in 2017. You can read all about that here!
The badminton season runs from September until the end of April every year. Our Senior club plays 2 nights a week, with training nights from 8pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. We have DDLC matches on Sundays from 7pm. We enter several teams (Ladies’, Men’s and Mixed) across a range of divisions in the Dublin and District League and Cup competitions.
During the off-season, we often run a pay-as-you-go summer club and welcome external Badminton Ireland-affiliated players.
Our popular Junior Club runs in line with the school terms. Primary school children have coaching from 4-5pm on Sundays and match-play from 7pm until 8pm on Wednesdays. Our secondary school and stronger juniors have coaching Sundays from 5-6:30pm. We also enter junior teams in the Dublin Juvenile leagues.

Please note that membership of any Club @ The PSLC is separate from membership of Portmarnock Sports & Leisure Club itself. Individual clubs operate independently and manage their own memberships, activities and fees. PSLC memberships provide access to club facilities and member benefits offered by the PSLC, while club memberships relate specifically to participation in that club’s activities and programmes.
