Mahjong is an ancient game, developed in China roughly 200 years ago. It was originally associated in China with gambling, and was banned there at the turn of the century. It was however adopted by allied forces stationed to the Far East in the 1930s, and Western Mahjong soon emerged.
Mahjong is now played all over the world. It is a fun table game of mental agility, skill and luck. We would love to hear from you if you’d like to know more or if you’d like to register for lessons or, to play.

Please note that membership of any Club @ The PSLC is separate from membership of Portmarnock Sports & Leisure Club itself. Individual clubs operate independently and manage their own memberships, activities and fees. PSLC memberships provide access to club facilities and member benefits offered by the PSLC, while club memberships relate specifically to participation in that club’s activities and programmes.
